Papa Don't Preach by Shubhika was launched in 2010 for women who effortlessly display a fierce urban sense of style and are constantly experimenting and redefining their fashion boundaries. The thought 'Versions of me' was the base for
their new collection 'Radio Gaga'. The protagonist appears throughout the visual narrative in 3 different versions of herself. While she displays different character traits in each avatar, all versions of her are always in sync with each other.
Papa Don't Preach approached LAB to create illustration teasers for their collection launch. As per their requirement, the campaign is based on the concept of a woman (Ella) and her multiple personalities. All her avatars have different traits but lie within her and manifest at different times. The treatment is inspired by classic rock and roll tropes combined with the modern swipe and see philosophy. This allows us to view the woman of today and all her personalities in all their wondrous glory.
